      night,
      my
      small
      crowd
      of
      nomadic
      Nirvanabes
      braved
      blizzard
      conditions
      to
      go
      to
      the
      Barn
      for
      the
      Grind
      Core
      event.
      It
      had
     
    

    
     
      L
      the
      potential
      to
      be
      yet
      another
      fine
      CIMN
      grunge
      fest
      with
      great
      music
      and
      plaid-adorned
      youth
      but
      because
      of
      the
      previously
      mentioned
     
    

    
     
      storm
      conditions,
      attendance
      was
      greatly
      reduced.
      The
      bands
      that
      I
      was
      able
      to
      take
      in
      while
      there
      were
      excellent.
      Some
      of
      the
      finest
     
     
      music
      around
      hits
      Level
      2
      of
      the
      Barn,
      but
      because
      of
      the
      small
      crowd
      the
      pit
      was
      less
      than
      happening.
      People
      were
      dancing
      and
      aggression
      was
     
     
      quite
      minimal
      -
      the
      perfect
      time
      for
      the
      wary,
      amateur
      mosher
      to
      get
      acquainted
      with
      the
      pit.
      It
      was
      rather
      nice
      to
      see
      as
      many
      present
      as
      there
     
     
      were
      simply
      because
      of
      the
      driving
      conditions
      up
      and
      down
      the
      Atlantic
      seaboard
      -
      in
      case
      one
      lived
      in
      Vermont
      and
      had
      to
      get
      home,
      of
      course.

      It
      is
      very
      safe
      to
      assume
      that
      had
      the
      weather
      not
      been
      so
      unpredictable,
      a
      great
      turnout
      could
      have
      been
      expected.
      I
      am
      quite
      certain
      of
      that.
      For
     
     
      this
      reason,
      we
      can
      only
      hope
      that
      CIMN
      has
      plans
      to
      make
      Level
      2
      into
      a
      happening
      mosh
      pit
      at
      least
      once
      more
      this
      semester.
      There
      is
      not
      a
     
     
      better
      way
      to
      relieve
      pre-exam
      stress.
