EXTRADTTION PROCEEDINGS- lander undcr the Extraction Act on a warrant of manslaughter issued in the State of Maine, arising out of the death of a man in an automobile accident. .On Sunday the Chief of Police and the deputy sheriff from home and brought him to Charlotte- town. At midnight last night the prisoner signed a Consent and Waver before Judge Duffy, agreeing to re- tum to the United States without‘ extraction proceedings and stand his trial. Tha prisoner alleges it was an_ unavoidable accident and that he is? in no way responsible. l AUTO ACCIDENTS-Sunday a car owned and driven by Mr. Leo F. Doyle, contractor, was badly damag- ed. Whilo driving along the 48 Road a. car coming behind made an et- tempt to pass Mr. Doyle's car when he crushed into it, badly damaging the side. With Mr. Doyle were his wife and family, who fortunately es- caped being injured. Tho damaged car is practically new, being in use only a short time. Another accident is reported from Millview, when a car owned and driven by Mr. Arhtur Mclnnls crushed into a bank when coming down a hill.
