Imperial Gorernment for the maintenance of troops a thie place, has been relinguished—a despatch to that effect having been received by Mail: rectified the grave error committed by the late the last —and thus, in part, has been Government in bringing troops here for the collection of rents at the expense of the coun Barracks which sre now burden. The try, and building nothing but a useless present Government did well to resist the demand made upon them, and Mr. Hensley's personal ad yvocacy of the claims of the Colony in the matter shows the great importance of his proceeding on the Mission— which ie the ouly thing of the kind that has ever turned out well for the Colony.
