Yesterday forenoon the different com+} panies of the Brigade paraded to the city churches. The St. Peter’s,St. Pauls and Summerside Companies attend- ed St. Paul’s church where a sermon was delivered by Rev.W. Withycombe (major), the Highland Brigade attended St James. Church when Rev. Mr. Rogers, of New Glasgow, N s., preached, ani No. 2 Company went io the Methodist Church where Rev. Mr. M « Conne!] was the preacher. All the ser- mons wereexcellent. The compan e: «ere escorted tuthe respective Churches by the band of the Fourth Regiment. C. A. After service the company from the Meihodist Church called at St. Paul’s for the other three companies, and there compan’es met the Highiand Brigade at St, James’Church, whence a}l returned to camp, accom pauied by the baud. At two o'clock the Higland Brigade at- ended Sunday echool at St. James’. The members of the other compenies attended their respective Sunday echools. At 3 45 there wae aaopen air service at Victoria Park, The devotional exercises were led by Rev. Leo Williams, rector of St. Paul’s, and asplendid address was delivered by Major Withycombe. Capt. Watts was musical director, and the choir of the First Methodist church assisted in the singing. Mr. J. E. Bell presided at the organ. The service ,was largely at: tenaed,the great crowd pressing about the boys so closely that three of them were prostrated by the heat. Atthe campin the evening Sugler- Major Wak:field was accidentally struck with a mallet that another lad was throw ing out of the way.
