The news was received from Picton, Oat. The vessel was the schvoner ‘* Harry Folger,” bound from Cleveland, Ohio, to Brockville, Ont. She went ashore near Picton, and became a total loss All on board—the captain and crew of eight men — were drowned. Taint Mr. Justices Perens gave judgment to-day on the question raised by certain shareholders of the Bank of Prince Edward Island, who objected to being placed upon the list of con- tributories for agreatersum than $64.44 per share. Hedecided that a call of $80 per share be made upon the Directors of the Bank, and reserved further judgment as to the liability of the shareholders until an ex- amination of the Directors shall be held before mercial treaty with France has not been concluded, but there has been no falling off in the friendly intercourse and govern- mental dealings between the two countries. On the contrary there is such an increase in international courtesies as had stregth- ened the bonds of friendship at present uniting them. The Queen then at length recites her thanks for the successful opera- tions ef the army in Eyypt, asserting that the success had avoided other measures which were tending to disturb the tran- quility of the British possessions existing in the East. The growth of the revenue, although retarded had suffered no diminu- tion, either in general receipts or duties on intoxicating liquors. Quint, assistant secretary of the late Land League, and Davitt, have been sum- moned to appear and enter into recogniz- ances for good behavior. It is expected that Healy will be served with a writ on Monday. The writ against Davitt is founded on his speech at Navan, last Sun- day. He is required to appear in a Court of Queen’s Bench on Tuesday. Davitt says he will appear and defend himself in person, and not by counsel.
