Doesn't mental work really tire one out just as much as physical cf- fort? I believe one could answer “Yes” to all the above questions because they all have a bearing in the mat- ter. 'l‘he reason that the farmer and mechanic sleep better is because they are not under the same men- tal strain, as a rule, for one thing. But the biggest factor in the mat- ter is that the fariner and mech- anic lead a more regular life, and after all sleep is very largely a mutter of lialiit. The farmer or mechanic gets up at a definite hour, has his meals at definite hours. does his re ular ame time every night, and is usu- ally able to go to bed at the same hour always.
