Con-’ sidering the Japanese nevus and the mixed trade report; u we]! g the extent of the rise many stocks have held without any particular setback, such action at the present time 4s not to be wonderedat. Sell- ing according to floor_ brokers is rather mixed and there does not seem much inclination on the part of large‘ holders of stocks to sell their holdings. Rather the present situation has probably frightened some of the buyers, and it is more absence of buying. power than sell- ing pressure that has brought the moderate setback of the last few days. The market must be left to prove itself by. working out a line of resistance from which fresh ad- vances may be made. 1t seems that the line of resistance will nct'be far under the current level of prices. . uoaumo u sroclr mar-ran NEW YORK, Feb. 27—Foreign exchanges this morning are about the same.
