Islanders Sporf New Pants Tonight l'he Islanders will be sporting new hockey pants for the first time this season when they play the Munc- ton Hawks at the Forum this even- ing. The new pants are the result of the sustained ettorts of two hard- working members of the Islanders Hockey Club who have amassed a suitable sum of money through the donations and co-operation of many ardent fans to buy the new goods. The pants. which are of a durable nylon material and in color are :i:arnct with gold trimmings. the ilslandcrs colors. have been purchas. .ed at a very reasonable price from a local firm in this city. The sum of money which the purchasers have obtained is- not quite enough to completely pay for the pants so the Islanders' Club has put the programs for tonight's game in the hands of the buyers so that they might acquire the total sum necessary. Anyone who wishes to mate a contribution to this col- iection may .do so at the Forum this evening. Several changes will be noted in ithe program also tonight. On the P1'0f.1t'anis will appear the names of the two who started the fund for the pants each of whom don- ated 350. Also there will be the names of all who made contibu- tions. The score cards this even- ing will be worth 310 to the lucky holder after each of the first and second periods. Fourteen ladies of ithe Auxiliary of the Islanders Club have volunteered to sell the pro- tgrams in the Forum during tonight match.
