From long practical observation of the treatment pursued in the various Institutions of London and Paris for those diseases referred to in the above work, the Author has bad somewhat unusual facilities for acquiring that accuracy of diagnosis, and uniform success, which have Genomes his practice for so many years in this country, in which the lamentab © neglect of these diseases by medical men generally, and their futile attempts to cure by mercury, copaiba, sarsaparilla, &c, have produced most distressing results. Lasting benefit in such cases can only be rea- sonably expected at the hands of the legally qualified medical man who devotes his chief attention to their removal; and to him only who can show his possession of the necessary qualifications, can confidence be safely extended. Dr. De R. refers with pride to the numbers he bas been in- strumentul in restoring to health and happiness; and to those who inay be in need of such aid, he offers every assurance of speedy restoration. Persons residing abroad can be successfully treated by correspondence, detail of their case, with a Bank note, or Bill on 6 in order to have a packet of medicines sufficient to be case sent out by next mail; thus avoiding ble time, and much suffering which might on sending a full London house for £5, meet the exigencies of t unnecessary loss of valua otherwise occur. THE GREAT EUROPEAN REMEDY FOR NERVOUSNESS, RELAX- ATION AND EXHAUSTION. Protected by Royal Letters Patent of England, and sanctioned by all the great Continental Colleges of Medicine. 5 R. DE ROOS’ GUTTA VITA, or LIFE DROPS, aro the great remedy for Spermatorrheea, Exhaustion, Nervousness, Debility, Aversion to and Incapacity for Society, Study or Business, Shaking of the Hands and Limbs, Indigestion, Flatulepce, Shortness of Breath, Asthina, Consumptive Habits, Dimness of Sight, Dizziness, Pains in the Head, Eruptions, Sore Throat, Pains in the Bones, and all these diseases for which mercury, sarsaparilla, &c, are too often employed, to the utter destruction of health. Their almost marvellous powers must be felt to be believed. Hundreds of apparently hopeless cases have been cured, ind thousands almost miraculously relieved, when every thing elgg had failed, and they must sooner or later supersede all those questionable remedies which bave hitherto been the sole reliance of English medical men. Price 11s, and four times the quantity at 33s. per bottle, of the Agents below. DE ROOS’ COMPOUND RENAL PILLS are a well known safe and speedy remedy for the above dangerous complaints, Discharges and Diseases of the Kidneys and Urinary Organs generally. The superiority of these celebrated Pills over every thing of the kind is universally acknowledged, and the extraordinary demand for them without precedent. Many there are who, from natural diffidence, or fear of discovery, would silently bear their afflictions rather than apply for aid to those from whom they may reasonably expect relief. D., Aupion, Mownoz Co., Iowa, writes, Sept. 6, 1855: “ During my practice of many years I have found nothing equal to your Cherry Pectoral for giving ease and relief to consumptive patients, or curing such as are curable.” We might add volumes of evidence, but the most con vincing proof of the virtues of this remedy is found in ite effects upon trial. Consumption. Probably no one remedy has ever been known which eured so many and such dangerous cases as this. Astor Hovsz, New York City, March 5, 1856, - Doctor Ayer, Lowe..: I feel it a duty and a pleasure to inform you what your Cherry Pectoral bas done for my wife. Shoe had been five months laboring under the dan- gerous symptoms of Consumption, from which no aid we could procure gave bermuch relief. She was steadily fatl- ing, until Dr. Strong, of this city, where we have come for advice, recommended 8 trial of your medicine. We bless his kindness, as we do your skill; for she has recovered from that day. She is not yet as strong as she used to be, but is free from her cough, and calls herself well, Yours with gratitude and regard, ORLANDO SILELBY, or SHenpyvitis. - Consumptives, do not despair till you have tried Aran's Curnry PectonaL. It is made by one of the best medical chemists in the world, and its cures all around us bespeaks the high merits of its virtues. — Philadephia Ledger. Ayer’s Cathartic Pills. TYNE sciences of Chemistry ard Medicine have been taxed their utmost to produce this best, most perfect purgative which is knowr to man. Innumerable proofs are shown that these Prits have virtues which surpass in excellence the ordinary medicines, and that they win un- precedentedly upon the esteem of all men. They aresafe and pleasant to take, but powerful tocure. Their pene- trating properties stimulate the vital activitiesof the body, remove the obstructions of its organs, purify the bloo, and expel disease. They purge cut the foul humors which breed and grow distemper, stimulate sluggish or disor- dered organs into their natural action, and impart healthy tone with strength to the whole system. Not only do they cure the every-day complaints of every body, but also formidable and dangerous diseases that have baffied the best of human skill. While they produce powerful effects, they are at the same time, in diminished doses, the safest and best physic that can be employed for children. Being sugar-coated, they are pleasant to take; and being purely vegetable, are free from any risk of harm. Cures have been made which surpass belief were they not eub- stantiated by men of such exalted position aud character ns to forbid the suspicion of untruth. Many eminent clergymen and physicians have lent their names to certify *o the public the reliability of my remedies, while others ave sent me the assurance of their conviction that my reparations contribute immensely to the relief of my cMlicted, suffering fellow-men. - The Agent below named is pleased to furnish gratis my American Almanac, containing directions for their use and certificates of their cures, of the following complaints :— Costiveness, Bilions Complaints, Rheumatism, Dropsy, Heartburn, [eadache arising from a foul stomach. Nau- sea, Indigestion, Morbid Inaction of the Bowels and Pain arising therefrom, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, all Uicer- ous and Cutaneous Diseases which require an evacuant medicine, Serofula or King’s Evil. They also, by purify- ing the blood and stimulating the system, cure many complaints which it would not be snppesed they could reach, such as Deafness, Partial Blindness, Neuralgia and Nervous Irritability, Derangements of the Liver and Kid- neys, Gout, and other kindred complaints arising from a low state of the body or obstruction of its functions. Do not be put off by unprincipled dealers with some other pill they make more profit on. Ask for Argr’s Pitts, and take nothing else. No other they can give you compares with this in its intrinsic value or curative powers. The sick want the best aid there is for them, and they sbould have it. Prepared by Dr. J. C.
