charge of Crapaud Creamery for the 
past three years, returned yesterday by
the Stanley from Sussex, N. B., where
he has been attending college for a few
months. Mr. Burgess has learned

to the many patrons of the above fac-

THE interior of the Bright new Bakery
and Grocery, on the corner of Euston,
and Great _George streets, occupied by
W. P. Pickard & Co., has undergone
extensive improvements during the last
few days. The artistic brush of Mr.
D. Howlett has caused this always at-
tractive store to look even more inviting
still. The walls and ceiling have been
tinted, the finish painted and the store
has assumed an exceptionally bright
appearance. Mr. Howlett has extended
his good work to the interior of Jenkins
& Son’s grocery on Queen street and

DEAR FRIENDS.-The death of your
daughter, Beatrice, a faithful, consist-
ent, and beloved member of the Hunter
River Division, of the Sons of Tempe-
rance, has brought upon us a loss so
great, that only the Great God, who
knows what she was, and to what she
might have grown can estimate. Coming
from your home at an eirly age, when
scarcely more than a child and when
many parents might well have feared
he'_‘_too yonng_for the responsibilities
of our order. you knew w¢ll,she would
prove an honor to us. Knowing as
you must have, her sincere devotion to `
what was highest and best, you trust-
ed her to our ineetings and she ever
showed theft your trust was not mis-
placed.
None could have fulfilled the obliga-
tion with more fi lelity, few of her age
could have been more helpful.
H~ r friends in the Hunter River Divi-
sion, holding her memory in such high
esteem and deeply feeling the loss sus-
tained by them, know well that to you
and your family, as sorrow has come,
deeper _than their`words, or even tears
of sympathy can express.
