A. 1 e 0 20 46 2 The Panthers stormed into,. second place in league stand- ings after their two runawa\ vic tories over Mt. A. and Noncton this past weekend. UPEI now rest 3 points behind league leading St. Mary's, and have yet to play the leaders. The Mt.A. and Noncton games saw the emergence of the line of Claude Lambert, Allan MacAdam, and Hedges MacDonald as a line to compete with the top trios in the league. Lambert picked up 5 goals on the weekend, and MacAdem had a quick hat-trick in the first period of the Nonc— ton contest. I Special mention must go to MacDonald for his pugilistic prowess as shown in the penal- ty box during the Mt.A. game. The Gross Move Award of the week goes to the Noncton player who was ejected from the game for spitting on a fan. The team is playing its best hockey of the year in every respect. Bill Adams' return seems to have given the team a lift,.and Bill weatherbie's switch to defence has tightened that area up. Combining thtee Sgéltggggbggofigggvgifigntflgest [and Guy DesAulnier, the Panthers appear to be in position to make a good run at the title. U'UIIUOIUOUDUUUDUOOUUOOUUUIIOOUUUUDUOUU ' ‘ " '14.18, B.
