Except for a few years in the mining town of Mole, B.C., most of his life was spent on his farm at Rocky Point, coming to Char- lottetown to retire in 1951. Mr. Smith was twice married. His first wife, Mary Louise Bur- dett, predeceased him in 1939. From this marriage there were three children; Marion who pre- . deceased her father and mother in 1929; surviving are Thelm3 (Mrs. Newton Taylor) now re- siding in Montreal and Howard in Rocky Point. Also left to mourn are his second wife, the former ZflIplI‘ a MacQuarrie; five grand children and one great grandchild; three brothers, Leslie in British CoI~ umbia; Ivor in Ontario and Bruce in New Dominion, P.
