At a large convention of the Liber-
als of the Third District of Queen’s
yesterday, David McDonald Glen-
finnan and- Peter Brodie, of York
were nominated as candidates. The
forirer accepted, the latter took time,
to consider. Other names mentioned
were R. Harold Jenkins, Percy
Mutch and Nelson Rattenbury. Short
but stirring addresses were made by
the above mentioned gentlemen, and
by Messrs Palmer, Cummiskey, A. B.
Warburton, Ft J, Nash and others. A
resolution was passed 'expressing
hearty appreciation of the services
rendered the district by Messrs Pal-

Yesterday afternoon at 2.30 o’cloek
the funeral service of the late Mrs.;
Ellen ('-rabbe was held at the residen-
ce of . her daughter. Mrs. Johul
`Pound, Upper Hillsboro Street. The
deceased was 76 years old, and had
been suffering from heart trouble for
some tinw. She was the widow of the
late Edmund Crabhe; who died seven-
.tecn years ago. The service at the
house was conducted by the Rev. Z.
‘L_ Fash, and the burial was at Mil-
