The small number of lobsters landed was due to the very few boats which had traps out, since Thurs- day was taken up mainly with continued line running which lie- gan wedesday at noon. The largest catch was at Sonrls where about 4.000 lbs. were landed at the Eastern Packing Co. The price for eanners quoted there was 17 cents, although this was sub,':ct to revision. No price was yet es- tablished for market lobsters. On the retail market. it. was expected that the price might range between 30 cents and 40 cents per pound. At other areas about the some conditions prevailed. North Lake reported about 2.000 lbs., George- town over 1,000 lbs. Fortune 260 lbs, and Lower Montague about 2.030 lbs. Although too eiirly to make any definite predictions, fishermen on the whole seem hopeful of a good season, and judging from yester- day's results with so few traps out, their hopes may be fulfilled. The remainder of the week will in all areas be taken up with eon-l tlnued line running and setting! Iout traps. The first big haul wlll' NOTICE i i FISHERMEN AND MOTORISTS Batteries from ...... ....
