ing service was ably sung by Alfred
Thorpe of _Mt. Allison University.

The school was tastefully decorated
with evergreen for the occasion. The
pupils were examined in the various
_branchesby their teacher Miss Mary
Hammill. assisted by Miss Gussie
Henderson. The intelligent manner
in whhrh they answered the. many
questions asked them reflected credit
on themselves and their teacher. The
ratepayers expressed themselves as
highly satislled with the progress
made by the pupils. After the hear-
ing oi the classes Miss Eva Muteh,
on behalf of the pupils, presented the
teacher with a nice and useful pres-
ent as a token of the regard in
which sho is held. Although taken
by surprise the teacher acknowledged
the present in a few appropriate
words, thanking them for their
thoughtiulness and kindness and
wishing them all a Merry Christ-
mas. The children and visitors were
treated to candy by the teacher.
Proceedings were brought to a close
by singing God Saveathe King.

ience was captivated and shamed by
