For more than two years he fought bravely against the dread disease, having the assistance of the best medical aid to the Jast; but Providence had willed it otherwise. He died in the good will and favor of his church, of which he was a most devoted friends and acquaintances. The large funeral cortege bore striking evidenc? of the esteem in which he was held by his many friends. May his soul rest in peace. Tenders are to be for six months’ service, from the date of vessel being accepted by the Depart- ment, the right of cancellation of charter how- ever, being reserved after three months, upon giving one month’s notice of the Government's intention to do so. ; _ Tenders are to state a price at which the owner is willing to sell the vessel offered for charter. The Government to have the option of purchas- ing at any period during the existence of the Charter, ‘Tenders may be for one or more vessels.
