Hae died yesterday, at the early age of 32. By dint of hard labor and industry, his suc- cess in business was great. He rose to wealth rapidly; but the very energy which cariied him forward so quickly undermined a constitution never very robust, and after along illness, brought him prematurely to the grave. He was generous and’ ready with his purse in the cause of religion and charity. He leaves a widow and one child, to whom we offer our condolence. Dr. ‘Tupper might explain and prove what he hked, but suspicion always at- tached to him. Whenever public money was going, Tupper got his share. Sir John A. McDonald said Jones’ speech was most unparliamentary and full of un- parliamentary slang. Tupper had formu- lated certain charges against the Minister which the Minister was bound to answer. Instead of answering, he assails Tupper about Pictou and Spring Hill. Mr. Jones had called all who sanctioned the flag story AT COST AND liar also? Hon.
