E. l. were somewhat surprised when on Wednes- day evenini: Jan. 19th. About forty of their friends from the North end of the Circuit gathered at the parsonage. A very pleasant time was spent with games, music and social cast. During the evening refreshments ert served from the well filled baskets which had been brought by the friends. After the supper was over short speeches, which were much appreciated were given by several of the gentlemen. The company then united iii the singing of "God be with you till we meet again" The party then broke up but not before considerable in the way oi necessities for housekeeping had been given to the minister and his family. FARMERS‘iNST|TUTE. - The an- nual meeting of the Orwell Cove Farmers Institute took place in Or- well Cove Hall on Dec. 23rd. The meeting was called to ordcr by the president, Mr. Jas. Morrisey. McDonald, Secre- tary and adopted. it was moved and seconded that a set dats, (thcthird Tuesday in"'Dec.) be made to hold the annual meeting of the Orwell Cove Farmers Institute, carried unanimous- ly. lt was also decided that members and those wishing to become members pay in the annual fee of $1.50 before the 15th day of Feb., 1916.
