sons, Edgar. of Winnipeg, and Brent,

The sudden, and unexpected death
of Mrs. John P. Nicholson, Charlotte-
town. in the 66 year of her age
which sad event occurred Saturday
night, caused much regret and sor-
row to her wide circle of relatives
and friends, when the news of- her
demise spread throughout the city
yesterday. Mrs. Nicholson was ron-
fined to her bed since Wednesday last,
with a severe cold, but nothing oi 8
serious nature was anticipated until
shortly before she passed away, the
end being hastened by- heart-failure.
The deceased was n. woman of sterl-
ing qualities beloved and esteemedby
all who knaw_her. She leaves to
mourn the loss of un affectionate
wife andy; kind and loving mother,
her husband John P. Nicholson, City
supervisor, .and the following sons
and daughters :-Mrs. Dr. Bmith,Bos-
ton; Bertha at home, Flora at pras-
ent~ in Boston, Donald in British

Pearl Mitchell, beloved wife ci Dan-

P. E. I. R., Milton, which sad event
took place at her. fathershome,
North Wiltshire, on the ninth. inst.
in her tbirtieth year. She had been
ill for several months ,but through-
out her sickness exemplified ,the
Christian spirit, having an assurance
firmly fixed in her Redeemer iiil
death came as a happy relief to her
painful illness. Deceased was mar-
ried one .year and eleven months and
lived with her husband at Milton till
a few weeks previous to her. death
when it was deemed _that a change of
air would be' _beneficial to her health
and she returned to‘ her old homo.
Her aiiable and pleasing manner won
for her many friends some oi whom
-were privileged to _visit her in her
last days. There is.left to moprn a
