The Post Office: H. it During the past few weeks i work of rebuilding the Masoni Temple which was destroyed by fire in January has been pro- ceeding rapidly. Under the di- rection of Mr. Hayden VanIdcr- stine, the crew has been working diligently despite the cold weath- er to complete the framing as rapidly as possible. Already the first and second floors have been put in. and each floor partitioned off. The roof has also been com- pletely framed, and the men are awaiting some fine days in or- der io complete the roofing job. It is hoped to have the building completed sometime during the late summer or early fall, although the building may be occupied be- fore then. Lois was celebrating her birthday. _\ _ Miss Susan MacAulay, who is the teacher in Elmira. spent the week-end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph MacAulay. Souris' West. Mrs. Wallace Murphy celebra‘ed her seventy-second birth- day. February 28. She received many nice cards and gifts. Mrs. Murphy‘: family, who are married and living nearby, visited her on that day, with birthday greetings. The March meeting of the El- mira Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. Joseph I-Iar;ls with an attendance of six mem- bers. The meeting was called to order by the reading of the ode. The minutes were then read, and answered. Any business arising out of the minutes was dismissed and correspondence read. The roll call was answered by a Baby Shower. After the new committees were appointed for the month of March the meeting then adjourned. Fol- lowing, the members played a nice game of Bingo for articles donated by Mrs. Harris. The annual fancy dress carnival was held in the Georgetown rink on Tuesday night and was attend- ed by a large crowd of spectators. Approximately fifty skaters were in costume, including a large num- ber of children. Many and varied were the characters represented and from the sublime to the ridi- culous were on hand to lend a gala touch of color to the event.
