Mrs. Katheryn MMKINNON - There passed peacefully away at her home in Hazel Grove on April seventeenth. one of the com- munity's oldest and best loved residents ill the person of Miss Catherine Maclunnon. The late Miss MucKinnon was born in this district, and W115 a daughter of the late Donald Mac- Kinnon and his wife Ellen (Mac- Nell) Macxlnnon. The deceased lived on the old homestead with her brother Rod- erick. and had been active until a few months ago, when she con- tracted the flu. Despite the fact that medical attention had been given her, her condition became more serious and on the above- mentioned date she passed peace- fully away. The late Miss Macxinnon. or Catherine. as she was familiarly known by her friends, was a per- son who possessed a cheerful and kindly disposition and was loved by all who had the privilege of her acquaintance. In a quiet and un- assuming way she aided every worthy cause. She gave testimony to the fact that she was trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ as her Saviour. The late Miss McKlnnon leaves to mourn one brother. Roderick. with whom she lived. a sister Annie and itnvo brothers predeceased her a. number of years ago. The funeral, which was largely attended. was held from her late, residence and was conducted by Rev. Donald Nicholson, of Clyde River Presbyterian church. assist- ed by Rev. Howard Christie. of the United Church, Hunter River. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Stephen Bertram. Harold Bagnall. James Brown. Pope Bagnall. Frank Nicholson and Robert with.
