The Islanders were evi- dently more interested in their hay and other crops than in the G. D. Session, for only a small number gathered, but some National Division representatives put in an attendance, and the session was after all a profitable one. After dealing with the session of the national Division Mr. Anslow says:-lt was our intention to have said some- thing about Charlottetown, its fine build- ings, park, etc., but will have to omit that just now, referring only to one building -the Kindergarten, in which our friend, Prof. Harry Watts, 'has a personal inter- est at the present time. This large build- ing ls situated in the centre of the City, theupper storey being devoted to a music school, and the lower floor to a Kinder- garten. It is owned and managed by the Wesleyan Methodist School Trust. The Kindergarten is one of the best equipped on the Continent. ` Mr. Watts has in his department an i assistant, Miss Blanche Smal1wood,one of Mount AIlison's most prominent gradu- ates. There is an average attendance of about 50pupils. The income from the Trust Fund is devoted to lessening fees, so that in Charlottetown pupils ‘ can secure musical and Kindergarten advan- tages at most reasonable rates, and a greater number are thereby benefitted. Miss Marian Wathan, late of Dartmouth’ is principal of the Kindergarten, and has under hera stan' of three teachers.
