I suppose many of you hope never to see another for a long time. This election was the most exciting and interesting, i ever took part in. It was so because of your enthusiasm in turning out in such a huge number, 68%. ‘ i was told this year's turnout was a first‘for UPEI and also for the Atlantic Provinces. The candidates should also be given praise, especially my opponent 'lvan, who displayed fair politics and sincerity during the long campaign. In ending, my gratitude and special thanks go to the workers who spared many hours in formulating a platform that brought me much happiness on Monday evening.
