A Binghampton (Ala. ) despatch reports :— “ A large crowd of people assembled at Mount Hope Church, Lamar County, on Sunday morning, to witness the marriage of Julius Shearer and Minnie Moran, two prominent young people of the neighborhood. Just as the preacher began the ceremony Shearer sank to the floor and died in a few moments. He had heart disease, and the excitement of the oceasion brought on a fatal attack. Among those present in the church was William Lang- ley, a rejected suitor of Miss Moran. At the first opportunity Langley approached the young lady and told her that providence had interposed to prevent her marriage to Shearer. He insisted that she ought to marry him, as the Lord was clearly on his side. Miss Morar finally consented to marry Langley as soon as Shearer was buried. Shearer's funeral took place the following morning, and that night Langley and Misa Moran were married.” —— ——— HOTEL ARRIVALS HOTEL DAVIES.
