(2) must provide personal identification satisfactory to the Proctor if asked to do so. (3) may bring only authorized materials into the examination room. (4) may communicate only with the Proctor(s) while in the examination room. (5) unless otherwise instructed, must return all examination materials at the end of the examination. Violation of these Regulations will be addressed under the provisions of Academic Regulation 23 (a). EXAMINATIONS MISSED: (a) Satisfactory explanation for any examination missed mist be made to the a within forty-eight (48) hours from the time the examination is written. Pailure to do so will result in the notation “Fail no supplemental” (PNS) on the student’s transcript. (b) The department will normally require the writing of a special examination in the case of an examination which was missed. (c) For explanations of sickness, a doctor’s certificate may be required. Application forms must be completed at the Registrar's Office and approved by the department(s) concerned. RE-READING OF EXAMINATIONS: (a) Application to have any paper re-read must be made to the Registrar within one month after the recording of results. (b) Such an application must be supported by a substantial reason in writing. {c) A fee of $20 must be paid before any paper is re-read. If the result of the re- reading is a raising of the grade, the fee will be returned to the student. (d) Students who intend to appeal a course grade are cautioned that failing grades have been checked very carefully and, barring a clerical error, appeals seldom result in higher grades. Permission must be and must be received in the Registrar's Office prior to the recording of final grades. (2) If a student already has a passing grade without completing the work and fails to complete the work by the agreed-upon date, the passing mark shall be submitted and shall be recorded in place of the INC.
