The sum of $150.00 was donated to the new Home Economics De- partment at the High School for the purpose of starting a library. 'Ilhe year book to the Encyclo- pedia Britannica was added to the I.O.D.E. corner of the school library. The annual prises to Grades IX,X and XI were award- ed as follows: Grade IX for his- tory. David Estey: Grade X, for essay, Isobel Howatt; Grade Xi’, English literature, Dorothy Gallant. The drama trophy went to Grade VII. Early in the year the Chapter received from headquarters a do- nation or 150 books which were surplus stock from the Book oi the Month Club. The most of these were distributed to the school, convent, airport, hospital and the new Legion Home in Miscouche. A few are still on hand.
