On interviewing Mrs. Deans we heard some of the highlights of ht experiences since she left here lsst September. Here are her own words: "l went to Haiti last October with Hurricane Hazel. The sea voyage was a frightening experi- ence. After .eaching Port-au- Prince. the capital of Haiti. had to wait there several days because there was no transpor- tation north to my destination. as bridges and roads had been washed away by Hazel. Finally a government plane was released and several of us who had been stranded in Port-au-Prince pro- ceeded north to Cap Haitier. "There I taught English daily in a Haitian Girls' Mission School. lalao had I class in Business English for many gov- ernment employaes. who wanted English conversation - American style.
