The Canadian Red Cross does not issue Life Saving Awards but instead works in conjunction with the Royal Lite Saving Society. 325 Life Saving Awards have been merited by candidate in this Province already this season, tour which are intermediate certificates and boys and girls under 14 years of age. 12 Bronze medallions and two Bars and the Bronze have been awarded to Swimming and Water Safety Instructors. Four Life Guards at the National Parks qualified for the Life Guard Corps Proficiency Award and two other men earned the Instructors certificate and Examiners Authority, It is hoped that many of the better swimmers will enrol in this next Course.
