Lona Brancn, Sept. 10 Official bulletin, 8.30 a. m.—At the ex- amipaiion of the Presideut at 8 this a. m., the temperature was 904.10, pulse 104, respiration 18 He slept well during the sight, awaking enly at intervals of one half to one hour. There is « perceptible increase ef strength with the nnproved eondition of the digestive apparatus. The tumefaction ef the parotid has entirely disappeared, and suppuration is gteatly diminished. The wound continues to in prove and presents a nore healthy appearance. Unotlicial bulletin, 1.15 p. m.—There are various rumors here to-day regarding the President’s condition. While the at- tending surgeons have net been seen per- sonally fer an hour or so, reliable informa- tion has been received by a reporter of the Associated Press that the President is con- tinuing to improve and that nothing un favorable has been observed in his syup- toms. The rain has ceased, but it is still very close, and the aimosphere is oppres- sively heavy. New York, Sept. 10. The Post's Long Branch special says: It is learned that a slight induration was per- ceptible this morning along the track of the psoas muscle, near the groin, over the p!ace the ball is supposed te be. What it means eannot be learned, if tae doctors themselves knew. The catheter, it has been di:cover- ed, does not now drop more than ten inches into the wound and the granulation has not been euflicient to account for the healing of the wound to such an extent. Is shere another pus cavity forming? There are in- creased pulse and temperature. Loxye Branca, N. J., Sept. 11. Official bulletin, 9 a. m.—At the exam- ination of the President to-day, his tem- perature was 98.8 ; pulse, 104 ; respiration, 19. He was more restless, and the febrite rise later than on the preceding night. He continues to take sufticient nourishment without gastric disturbance. The following was rent out at 10.30 :-— To Mr. Lowett, Minister, Lonpen :— The Prezident had ai: increase of fever last night and was very re stless until 5 a m. During the day he has been somewhat better, but his pulse, temperature and respiration have been higher for the entire 24 hours than any preceding day since Le reached Long | tendance requested. Branch. His ether symptoms are not reas- suring and hia general condition gives rise to anxiety. Buarne, Secretary. Bulletin, 12.10 a, m.—There is change for the worse in the President’s condition. It ia evident that the day has been very unfavorable, In the first place the lungs are acknowledged to be affected ; second, the affection is not claimed to be under control, hence it is liable to increase ; third, if it increases abscesses will undoubt- edly be the result and may form around the lungs, the liver, or other vital parts. In fact, it is an undecided question, to-night, whether or not abscosses have not already formed, and the evidence appears to be that they have. The situation, again, is criti- eal, to say the least, and unless there is proof established to the contrary, there is good ground for believing that pyzemia has setin. Dr. Bliss stated that the Presi- dent’s cough had subsided somewhat ; that the duluess from the lungs extended over a small area and he did net think it would amount to anything serieus. At 11 o’clock the President was s'eeping and his pulse and temperature, it was reported, had de- ereased. Kansas Crry, Sept. 10. New Onveans, Sept. 11. The impression prevails that the labor troubles will culminate in a row to-mor- row. The police and several military com- panies are held in readiness for its suppres: sion. Cuicaco, Sept. 10 The case ef Rev. Dr. Thomas was given to the jury at a late hour last night. After a brief deliberation « verdict was returned convicting him of |e charge of disseminat- ing ideas contrary ‘o the doctrines of the Methodist religies. The charge being sustained by thia verdict it has the effect of sending the case to tlie Conference. There was consi erable excitement dur- ing the speech of prosecuting counsel Park- hurst who made use of these words: “There are grey-haired, godly men in this city; there are broken-hearted mothers in this city, who are weeping over the ruin of their sons, whose (ownfail in theatre going, dancing and beer drinking card playing began with their accepting these views from Dr. Thomas.” The speaker was loudly hissed at times and retorted shar; ly upon the audience. His death was caused by the train passing over him.
