WOMlllN'P INS'l‘I'i‘U'1‘lllB.- This week Mrs. A. E. Dunbrock and Misa Katiiriue James are organising Wo- xnen's Institutes in the neighborhood of Charlottetown. On Monday even- ing they addressed a meeting at York. This was a joint meeting oft the Farmers’ Institute and the Wo- men's Institute, which was organized some time since. Mr. T. A. Benson was also present and spoke on Egg Circles. On Tuesday afternoon they went to Marshdeld and addressed a meeting of the ladies in the school and are to-day at Union. The meet- ing at Marshfield was not large but was very enthusiastic and they have fully decided upon an organization. It is not expected that any of these meetings will be large as the Insti-‘ tutes are supposed to centre around' n, school district more or less and one will be organized in each school district lf the women of the school district wish lt. At any rate it is not intended that one Institute shall cover more than three school dis-l trtcts. Wherever possible the meet- ings will be held in the school and it is honed that the women of the Dia- trlct working with the Supervisor, who will make regular visits, will do in-uch not only for the improvement ot homo and social life but also for the immediate benetlt of the school without which home and social life cannot be uplifted.
