The Club's first planned produc— tion "The Beggar's Opera" held auditions Monday, Nov.10 which were extremely success- ‘~fu1 and encouraging. First rehearsal for this rowdy, raunchy extravaganza will be Thursday, Nov.20 in the G. Douglas Steel Recital Hall at 7:30 pm. The only subsequent point of any interest at all that was made came in the rather startling comment of one member of the P.E.I.T.F. that "We should.be on this Senate...if anyone has an interest in what happens here, it's us; after all we provide your raw material". After two hours of hassles, the meeting broke up without -having made any decisions. It developed that a large portion of the meeting was spent attempting to convince the CUPE representatives that such an idea was pos— sible. Being just a new un— iOn, they are unwilling to get involved in anything too far out of the ordinary un— til they get established. ‘ On this issue Council voted ~to support the meetings in principle but to hold off on any definite until it knows the direction which they will take. The next meeting will be held December 7th at 6:00 in the Faculty Lounge.
