'15 the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Acorn of Dundas was the scene of a happy event, this data being their 40th wedding anniverkary, and also the 22nd birthday of their son, John. The Acorn family expected to spend ihis wonderful occasion quietly in their lovely new home. About 7:30 pm. ihe married members of their family began to arrive and before long the house was filled with talk and laughter. Sons and daughters later uncovered a wedding cake, birthday cake, plum pudding, pies, goose and duck and all the trlm- - mings. Needless to say the Acorn clan did ample justice to every dainty.
