Association The Annual meeting of the Wo- men's Missionary Societies of the United Baptist Association of Prince Edward Island. was held at three o'clock on Saturday after- noon in the United Baptist Church at East Point. The president, Mrs. McClure presided and fifty seven members. representing fifteen soo latter were present. A very lovely devotional was given by the ladies of East Point W. M. S. with Mrs. Walter Dixon in charge. The Scripture lesson was read by Mrs. Arthur Bi-uce.. after which she led in prayer. Mrs Russell Garrett gave a very in- spiring address. basing her re- marks on Cor. 13-13. "And now abideth faith hope and love. but the greatest of these is love." Smcial speakers at the meeting were Mrs. Orville Daniel. wife of Dr. Orville Daniel. Associate Sec- retary of the Canadian Baptist Foreign Mission Board and Miss Marilyn Gullison. daughter of Dr. Ben and Mrs. Gullison. who are in India. Miss Gullison spoke on "India" as she remembered it and Mrs. Daniel gave a very fine ad- dress on. "The Religious Aspects of Bolivia." The address of welcome to visit- or! W88 xlven by Mrs. Waltei Dixon and replied to by Mrs. Adams of 0'Leary. A special of- fering was taken for Miss 0rger- sall. which amounted to 345.00. The Provincial Secretary. Mrs T. G. Ives reported on all phases of the work during the year and conducted a short Memorial ser. vice In memory of those who had passed away during the year. The Provincial Treasurer's re port was read by Mrs. Ives and showed total receipts for the year. N.B.'t The sad news has been receiv- ed by Mr. Robert MacDonald, Charlottetown of the death of his brother J. M. Ralnforth MacDon- aid in the Moncton Hospital on Monday night. Mr. MacDonald. who was 46 years of age, had been a Canadian National Railway em- ployee serving as a brakeman. Mr. Robert MacDonald h ad spent the weekend with his broth. er and had just returned to Chai- lottetown on Monday when he was notified of his brother's passing. The late Mr. MacDonald is sur- vived by his wife the former Anna Boiidreau and nine children. Also surviving are three brothers. Rev. Angus MacDonald. Rexton. N.
