This play which was presented for the first time in Pownal Hall. on Fri- day evening, May 1st, before a large audience, is a four-act com- edy-drama "Happy Valley", and is directed by their minister, Rev. T. R. Goudge. This play has some- thing to please everyone, comedy, pathos, heartbronk and even trag- cdy. Each player presented his or her part in ri very realistic way. which provided a very interesting evening's entertainment. This play will be presented at various other halls, and also a repeat perform- nnce in Pownal, later this month. A feature of this play is the magnificent scenery used in the last three acts, which is a garden scene. and was painted by Mr. Athol Bucll, .1 member of tlie Y. P.U. Mr. Lefcvre said he chose ”Zone" from a group of three plays which he thought were the best of the festival.
