During the evening, on behalf of those present, Rev W S Martin, of Leinster street church, with a neat speech, presented Rey Mr Gordon with a hands ( some solid oak sideboard and hat rack in the shape of a Christmas gift. The display of poultry was tne largest in the experience of the market clerk, and the quality was of the best. Turkeys brought from 60c to 32, geese from 50c to 80c,fowls from J0c to 50c, and ducks from 4% to 60c. Eggs changed band-at from 2ic to 23s. The choicest cuts of bef beought 12c, There was no material change inthe price of other articles.
