>' ' x I U.P.E.I'. sun decenber 2,1982. ROSES AND TfiORNs II the snow is finally on ground--looks like winter is here! ‘. Winter nears many things here at IIPEI, one of the most important being Christmas exams. Presently, many students are beginning to prepare for exams, how- ever, many other students are still in the midst of writing mid—term exams, - term papers, or take-hone I exams. ‘ It~is true, there were mid- term exams reing written as late as last week, rather late in the semester by my estimation. And .what about those famous term papers and take—home exams WhiCh are due during the last week of classes or during the last week of clas- ses or during exam period. If there; is an exam in one of these courses, isn't it rather late for a paper to be due, and if there isn't an exam; is the term paper or take-home exam meant to take the place of an exam? Perhaps I'm flogging the out of a dead turtle here, but I believe we need a , strict policy here at UPEI concerning what the profes- sors can or cannot do to us~ during these last few crucial weeks. It's your education -— your de- cision.’ W' OF THORNS: The "Guardian" for making sure they have the last word always ._ When Glenn Hynes rebutted Bill McGuire's ' column last week, they had to get their 2¢ worth in "at the end of it. Glenn Hynes for taking the time and initiative to write the above mentioned rebuttel. Somebody's got to stick up for the UPEI I 'Student Union and HE did it.
