The Victorian Room, the private din- ing-room of the Queen. has been completely redecorated and refur- nlslied. The color scheme is a pleas- ing combination of blue and ivory, with a touch of red to brighten nrid contrast. The walls are cover- ed with is Plain. pale blue paper, and on two sides large panels have been constructed, in which ls set a wall-paper in a scenic design, depicting an Old English setting of coaches-and-tours, mounted horsemen. etc. The woodwork has been done in ivory, and at the windows are drapes of blue with a small ivory stripe. A new set of dining-chairs has been purchased. in modern bleached ash, with red equipped with piano and fireplace, to accommodate any type of gath- ering for which it may be request- ed.
