The captain of the home team and one of the visiting team were slightly injured during the game, and had to retire. On the morning of November 5th the team started for Halifax, without their captain (Mr. Ings) and played there with the following result : November 6th, 1890—-Abegweits vs. Wanderers—won by Abegweits oue game to nil. November 7th, 1890—Abegweits vs. Dalhousie College—drawn game; no score. This game was considered to have been the grandest contest ever witnessed in Hal- ifax. For the first tims Abegweit stock waa in danger of being lowered, but deter- mined effort and unflinching courage pre- vented defeat, though they could not cause a victory. For 15 minutes the ball did not move in any direction 15 yards.
