Thiswas the outcome of the Unionist i) caucus held in Ottawa last week the outcome of the de niand made by both Liberal _and Conservative Unionists S that Sir Robert Borden continue as leader of the Union Government. Iii view of this indisputable fact what hope have our C Liberal leaders to offer to this province iira change to an 0 antagonistic pro\'incial government, to a government led t by Mr. J. H. Bell, who persistent-ly opposed and even e abused the Union Government, who has nothing in com- _ 'mon with the Union government? It will be remem-‘t bered that until this caucus settled the question defin-' itely the great Liberal argument was that the Union _ 9 Goveriiiiieiit was doomed, and that the return of a Lib-’ . eral government in Prince Edward Island would be our' salvation. The present provincial government has received many considerations from the Union Government and particularly from its leader, Sir Robert Borden, also from its leading ministers. There are many considera- tions to which we ai‘e still looking forward, many claims the granting of which will involve favor as well as i'ight. What hope can Mr. Bell hold out to us of securing these considerations and claims and rights after spending all the years of his Opposition leadership in the provincial; government in abusing the Borden government?
