Oct. 8th. the angel of death hovered over Cape Wolf and this time claimed for his own Thomas Cook an aged and highly respected pioneer resident of that community. Had the late Mr. Cook lived one more month he woulld have reached 96 years. Deceased was of a very genial disposition. a good and kind father and neighbor, and was very widely known for hia ability in conversing and was al- ways happy to meet his friends to discuss world and community affairs and for one so far advanced in years Mr. Cook still retained all his faculties and was always glad to welcome his many friends. from far and near who came to see him. In hia illness ha was tenderly nursed by his loving wife Catherine Noye whom he married about 60 years ago. assisted by the other members of their family.
