Sin,—Is Farqubarson waiting for Peters ? He nas Pineau’s resignation and Wise’s resignation, and refuses to give the firstof Prince and third of *Queen’s the Parliamentary representation in the House the constitution provides, and still he brings back at great expense (Peters won’ work for nothing) the repre- sentative of Fort Augustus district who bas systematically neglected his con- stituency and #ho rumor aleo seys resign- ed bis seat, to tide over’a crisis and main- tain for alittle longer the}power the people are desirous of taking from him. Bir Wilfrid has had toend euch ajstate of affairs in British Columbia by calling up- on Governor McInnis to dievolve the House or get out, and if Governor Mc- Intyre is eatiefied with the present dis- graceful state of affairs here he is easily Satisfied. Nine Governors out of ten would have requested Mr. Farquharson to resign. The idea of facing the House for aday with Mr. Petersfreeh from the chairmanship of Joe Martin’s bear garden convention is really too sbsurd for even thejextraordinary doings of those machine pol ticians who have debased and degrad- ed everything. A number of smal) boys had been teasing and bothering one of the Chinamen. After standing it tor some time he started to chase them with a long stick in bis hand. The boys ran fast; the Chinaman ran faster and was rapidly gaining on the offenders. But one of the piles of mud which the street cleaners had shovelled up duriog the day was inthe way. The boys ran round it; the poor Chinaman, not no- ) ticing it in the dark, measured his length in the mud. It was juet as well for the boys that he did so, for, considering the humor that the Celestial was in, he would undoubtedly have made the boys decide never again te torment a Chinese laundry- man.
