Mrs. Benedict, who is 78 years old. was seeing Prince Edward lsland for the first tzme although her mother was Margaret: Bernard of Charlottetown and her father tit-as a. N. 3., then moved to the state of Wisconsin, later to Iowa, and finally to California. She. herself was married at l8, and ts now a widow. A brother, John Wall, visited the Island 13 years ago. The ladies made Kenslng- ton their headquarters. but spent most of their short visit here, with the above mentioned rela- tives st Melpeque, with whom. they had been keeping in touch by correspondence.
