Shinerama Rumor hath it... that some Orientation and’ Shinerama Committee people will be walking around with a lovely shade of green hair on September 27th. Rumor hath it... all frosh who participated in Shinerama has a chance to win not one but THREE FREE course tuitions valued at $184.00 each. On September Sth, over 100 UPEI Frosh took to the streets of Charlottetown, Summerside and Charlottetown shining shoes for Cystic Fibrosis research. They raised over $6,400.00 just by shining shoes alone!! What con artists...got to love that. The car wash, September 8th, the Shinerama T-shirts and glow-sticks, the Shinerama pace held at the C.D.P. on September 13th, sponsored by UPEI Student Union Inc., brought the grand total for the 1990 Shinerama to - $8266.19. Not bad!! 1989’s total was $6,450, our goal for 1990 was $7,500 and our total was $8,266.19. Man, did you people kick some major iH! My congrats to every frosh who got out of bed on Wednesday morning to shine shoes, on Saturday morning to wash cars and to everyone who made a donation of time, money or energy.
