HESE Medicines are indebted for their name to their manifest and sensible action in purifying the springs and channels oflife, und enduing them with renewed tone and vigor. In many hundred certified cases which have been made public, and inulruost every species of disease to which the human frame is liable, the happy effects of Mofi'nt's Life Pills and Phenix Bitters have been gratefully and publicly acknowledged by all persons benefited, and who were previously unpe- quainted with the beautifully philosophical principles upon which they are com ounded, and upon which they consequently act. The Life . edicines recommend themselves in diseases ofevery form and description. The first operation is to loosen from, the coats of the stomach and bowels the various impurities and crudities constantly settling around them; and to remove the hardened fwces which collect in the convolutions of the small intestines. Other medicines only partially cleanse these, and leave such collected masses behind as to produce habitual costive- ness, with all its train of evils, or sudden diarrhoea, with its inimi- nent dangers. This fact is well known to all regular anatomists, who examine the human bowels after death: and hepce the prejudice of these well informed men against quack medicines— or medicines prepared and heralded_to the ublic 'by ignorant persons. The second effect ofthe Life Medicines is to cleanse the kidneys and the bladder, and b this means, the liver and the lungs, the healthful action ofw iclrpntirely depends upon the regularity of the urinary organs. The cloud, which takes Its red colour from the agencyof the liver and the lungs, before It passes into the heart, being thus purified by them, and nourish- ed by food coming from a clean stomach, courses freer throu h the veins, renews every part of the system, and triumph‘nnty mounts the banner of health iii the blooming cheek. . V Mofi'at's Vegetable Life Medicines have been thorot'r lily tested, and pronounced a sovereign remedy for Dysfiepsra, F atu- lency, Palpitation ofthe Heart, Loss of' Appetite, eartburn and Headache, Restlessness, Illtemper, Anxtety,Langour and.Mc. lancholy,Costiveness, Diarrhoea, Cholera, evers 01' a” kindle Rheumatism, Gout, Dropsies of all kinds, Gravel, Worms: 551ml,“ and Consumption, Scurvy, Ulcers, lnveterate Borfisrscmbuue Eruptions and Bud Complexions, Eruptrve complain“: “allow: cloudy and other disagreeable complexrons, Sn", .Rhfi‘lmi .EIY‘ sipelas, common Colds and Influenza, and various‘otlher com.— plaints which afflict the'liuman frame.
