Long-Time Mall courier Honoured By community -A very pleasant evening was spent by those present at the Hamilton Hall on Thursday even- ing, September 25th. when the Womenls Institute sponsored I dance tor those in the district and invited guests from sur- rounding districts, and to present show their appreciation for his many years of obliging service as their mail courier. After a few reels of old time and modem dancing, Mr, Lloyd Lock- erby called the gathering to order aiid- asked Mr. Gormnn to come forward. Mr. Lockerby then extended to "Louie" the community's appreciat- ion for the man) years of friendly ilntl faithful service and expressed the regret at all at his resignation. Mrs. James Rarnsay then pre- sented him with a beautiful stat- ion wagon coat. "Louie", completely taken by surprise, expressed his sin- cere thanks. The music then continued and some very fine step dancing was enjoyed by many. Those taking part were Messrs. Ned McLeod, Keir Woodside, Bruce Riley, George Campbell, Thomas Campbell and David Ramsay. Lunch was served by the institute members, bringing an enjoyable evening to an end. The music was fumlshed by Ethan and Harriet Campbell.
