On Tuesday morning the 30th of No Nov, a very heated dicussion took place between a couple of members of _this staff and the Student Union in their offices. The problem was ' cussed by an article submitted by a member of the student body; It seems that a member of the_Radio was fired because the Radio Exective had received complaits about his program. received complaints about his pro— gram. He was alleged to have not " played what the listening audience wanted to hear and to have made un- complimentery remarks about the way the radio was being run. The Stud- ent Union were of the opinion the exective of the Radio were within their right as the heads of that giganization to fire the DJ. Me on the other hand felt it was up to the members of the radio staff to decide whether the DJ in question should be fired or given a sever . Since that argumen we were informed by th ion that he had been r we would have to kill that was the stipulati he got his old job bac we agreed that the etc the letter he wrote wo printed but we still h to expose the Student their meddling in a pr is strictly a radio af go thruogh if they fee working for an organiz their juristiction the ific things they have reprimand by the staff if they de- cide he is in the wrong. ‘ S’ASKZ? 3/411 Bi'eo‘gfiefa’s‘t’i‘gfif‘ngfient UPEI sLady Panthers Basketball team opens a their 71-72 season with the U.N.B.
