His followers at- tempted to rescue him and fighting com. menced. Four policemen were killed and three wounded. Eight Indians were killed including Sitting Bull and his son. Crowfoot and several others were wounded. The police were surrounded for some time, but main- tained their ground till relieved by United States troops, who now have possession of Sitting Buli’s camp, with all the women, chil- dren and property. Sitting Bull's followers, probably one thousand men, have deserted their families and fled up Grand River.” —— - Trade With the West Indies. Orrawa, Dec. 15. The Minister of Finance at latest ac- counts had returned from Trinidad to Bar- badoes, and at all points which he visited had met a most cordial reception.
