It is some time since an out- side theatrical organization has visit- ed this city and needless to say the large audience who_assembied in the Prince Edward Theatre last night ful- ly enjoyed this splendid Irish play, depicting the joys and'sorrows oi’ Peggy McNeill. Peggy is the heroine of “My Irish Cinderella," and "Peg" is a pretty good pattern for good wholesome amusement and the audi- ence last night found Peggy a person much to its liking. In the hands oi’ Miss Daisy Carleton she was a lively, quick-witted colleen who always hiitl a little bit of silver on the lining ot her cloud. _ With its scenes laid in America and England "My Irish Cinderella" has a romantic flavor that is all its own. Peggy McNeill finds wonderful-scenes' awaiting her when sbe"goes directly from-a poor house in New -York to live _with the family of a great Earl in London. ln London she meets Clifford Morgan, a young American aviator who has been serving the cause of the Allies. She thinks that he is a great hero and falls in love with him. A great -story is unfolded in the play along with the love in- terest and Peggy has a part in seine very stirring scenes. _ The hardest work of the evening was performed by Miss Carleton and she certainly did justice to her Part.
