He was taken immediately to the P. E. I. Hospital where an emergency operation was perform- ed. and it was hoped that with good nursing he would rally but his reserve strength was not suf- ficient to survive the shock and he passed quietly and peacefully away in the early hours of Satur- day July 6th.
