Only a month and a half into the school year and already we have more members than we had for all of last year. Still, we encourage new members to join soon so as not to miss out on anything. We'll be accepting memberships from now to April...but why wait? Meetings are every Wednes- day at 12:30 in the amphithe- ater (our lounge overflowth). Have a cigar! We would like to inform the University communty of the possibility (almost. cer- tainty) of our newest mem- ber to the BioClub: North River. During the recent Brudenell Biology conference we learned of the “Adopt- a-Stream” program whereby an organization or community group can commit to a long term agreement to manage and improve a chosen stream in immediate need of help. All work is done on a volun- tary basis. North River is our first choice because it has the potential to be a very pro- ductive river in terms of fish, waterfowl and scenery. . Any community group or organi- zation interested can get in contact with the BioClub for further information.
